"Ukraine is doing an extraordinary thing. It's very clear that in extraordinary times, with the extraordinary victims that we're seeing,we need to be extraordinary&out of the ordinary in our support for Ukraine."- German MEP Sergey Lagodinsky in the plenary session of the European Parliament
"Ukraine is not paying the cost. Ukraine is not paying the cost? Ukraine is doing an extraordinary thing. They are getting bombs on their heads while they are preparing for membership. We are not sitting in Kiev. We are not getting bombed and we are not getting raped. And that's why I don't think we have a moral right to teach anyone in the middle of a war. They are doing their homework, while they are doing reforms, while they are doing anti-corruption reforms. And yes, not everything is perfect, but before you make accusations like those against those who are fighting against bombs, fighting for the lives of their children, you should make your homework and you should prepare the facts. And I think it's very clear that in extraordinary times and with extraordinary victims that we're seeing, we need to be extraordinary and out of ordinary in our support for Ukraine. The best accession help is the defense help. And this is what the NATO meeting is about. And nothing will justify not helping Ukraine now. We're not talking about the victims from the past. We're talking about the victims from now that are killed by Russia and by Kremlin. And it's not just about the past. It's about protecting them in the present. Thank you."
