"Hi, my name is Katty Muhammad and I am an intern at the Florida Justice Institute this summer. I'm currently a rising 3L at the University of Miami School of Law, and I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. I'm currently working on the HEED case here at FJI, and it aligns with my interests in prison conditions and immigration detention conditions here in the state of Florida. I'm passionate about civil rights. As a woman of color and the child of Caribbean immigrants, I have seen many injustices in this country and I want to address them and advocate for equal justice for all."
