"The next block that I really, really love teaching is the Patricka Crosses. Traditionally, the Patricka Crosses block, you would have one inch honeycombs and one inch squares. And she started sewing when she got into her 60s, and then she was sewing right up into her 90s. And it's absolutely incredible because what she had was she couldn't see to thread the needle to make the Patricka Crosses block, so she would have students come around her house and that they would thread the needles in a great big long line, and then she would be able to carry on sewing. And it's just incredible. And I really, really hope that actually when I get into my 60s and my 90s, I'm going to be very much still creating blocks and sewing and with the true inspiration of what Lucy Boston was."
