All charged with conspiracy to impede or injure a federal officer. Up to six years in prison. Earlier this year, the Trump administration launched Operation Metro Surge. Thousands of federal officers were deployed to the Twin Cities. Over 4,000 arrests were made, and two US citizens were killed. In response, these 15 people wrote down ICE agents license plates. They used Signal to coordinate, and they helped set up blockades near the federal building on January 23rd and March 1st. The US Attorney General called it a violent conspiracy, then declined to say whether any agent was actually hurt, because none were. They're also being called ANTIFA, a label defense attorneys called a boogeyman invented by the far right. The point of all of this is to spread fear and divide us. And it's not working."
