"I call on all business leaders in Europe to take good note of today's recommendations on AI and cybersecurity released by the European Commission and INISA. It's not business as usual anymore. Your software and IT systems will be tested by hackers. Aided by the latest AI models, hackers will operate with the speed of light and will try to put you out of business. So today's recommendations will help you to defend with the speed of light and with the help of the best talent and the best capabilities Europe has to offer. I also remind business leaders that time is not in your advantage. You have a few months at best to fix vulnerabilities because AI models from China with similar capabilities will be on the market soon. You must adapt to stay in business. But I also want to encourage my colleagues here to think firmly about developing frontier AI models in Europe. Currently, there are some 3,000 models, AI models, large language models in the world. Only 30 of which are European. Zero are compliant with EU laws and regulations. So if we want sovereign European technology, we need to push for deregulation, indeed, with the speed of light. Thank you."
