"Hey everybody, one of the biggest fraudsters in history is making a comeback thanks to Donald Trump, and now he wants you to trust him with your money. Please watch and share so that we can make sure nobody gets scammed again. I'm Liz Oyer, the former pardon attorney for the Department of Justice. Remember Trevor Milton? He was the founder of Nicola, a company that was supposed to build the world's first electric powered semi-truck, but the whole thing turned out to be a sham. The company released a video that claims to be a working prototype of the truck driving along a desert highway, but later they admitted that they actually towed the truck to the top of a hill and then filmed it rolling down. Milton became a billionaire, even though he never produced a working product. Meanwhile, his investors lost nearly $700 million. Thousands of people lost their retirement savings. Milton was convicted of fraud and sentenced to four years in prison. He was ordered to repay his investors $676 million. But Milton had a few more tricks up his sleeve. He hired Pam Bondi's brother to represent him. He also donated a couple million dollars to Donald Trump, and last March Trump gave him a full pardon. The pardon wiped out his prison time and it also wiped out his obligation to repay his investors, meaning he got to keep the proceeds of his fraud. Now, one year later, Milton is back in business. He owns a new company called CyberJet, which plans to transform flying by building autonomous airplanes using AI. He is currently working to raise $1 billion from investors. Milton has already spent millions to sponsor a branded lounge inside the Kennedy Center, where he has been seen hobnobbing with Trump officials, including Howard Lutnick, the Commerce Secretary. He also hired a team of lobbyists with connections to Trump. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Milton said this, Well, products that are unreal definitely seem to be Milton's specialty. Nicola was actually at least his third failed startup company. This just shows how dangerous and damaging Donald Trump's pardons have been. Trevor Milton should be in prison right now. All of his assets should be going to pay back his investors. But instead, he's back to his old tricks. He's schmoozing with celebrities and billionaires at the expense of real people he has cheated and lied to. So what can we do? Well, consider this a public service announcement. Let's make sure everyone knows that Trevor Milton is a scammer and a fraud. Let's make sure he can't cheat anyone else with another phony product."
