Violent Carjacker Terrorizes Streets Until Police Finally End the Chase
"Culver City police say they started getting numerous calls on the evening of June 16th of a driver and a 2020 white Toyota Camry targeting pedestrians. A total of 10 victims were hit, ranging in age from 15 to 70 years old. According to police, the driver, identified as 45-year-old Juan Luis Estrada of Paris, carjacked the white Camry at Knife Point in downtown Los Angeles before driving to Culver City and going on an apparent rampage. Recognizing the clear and present danger that he posed to the community, our officers engaged in the pursuit to attempt to stop this behavior. That pursuit took Culver City police to downtown Los Angeles. The pursuit came to an end at a McDonald's drive-thru in downtown L.A., where Culver City police were able to box in Estrada after he crashed into another car. The suspect has been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, along with a slew of other charges, and is held on over a $10 million bail."
