Because I am a fun-gi about energy
"Mushrooms are fungus, and the interesting things about fungus is that it only eats organic matter. Now, why that's significant is that without fungus, all of the organic matter that we have in nature would pile up. All the forests would pile up thick and thick and thick, and eventually when they got layered under different kinds of stratigraphy, they would get baked down into fossil fuels. And because we didn't have the kinds of fungus that we do today hundreds of millions of years ago, that's where we get fossil fuels today, because the fungus hadn't yet evolved. And even though fossil fuels have given us all of this wonderful lifestyle that we have today, we've learned that when we use fossil fuels to the extent that we have, it can do things that are very deleterious, like climate change, which is why we need to switch over to sustainable and renewable energy forms like nuclear energy or the renewables. And I personally prefer nuclear energy because it's got such a small environmental impact just a tiny little environmental impact in terms of the materials that it uses, the amount of waste that it creates, and that based on modern technology, we've been able to make sure that the risks are very low. And right now, it's safer than wind. So thanks for watching. Have a good day."
