"So, you know that scene in Goodfellas where Henry Hill explains how the mob takes over a restaurant they like to hang out at, and then they strip the restaurant of all its resources and use it for criminal activities. As soon as the deliveries are made in the front door, you move the stuff out the back and sell it at a discount. And then when they've done everything you do, they burn it to the ground. Yeah, that's what's happening right now in America. I mean, you knew that, but this is the best example I've heard recently. Representative Jared Huffman just broke the story yesterday. Apparently, 10 years ago, our federal government set up a non-profit organization called America 250 as a way to have a non-partisan organization that would be in charge of how we celebrated the 250th birthday of America. Yeah, so everybody could be invited. People on the left, people on the right, maybe even socialists. But then Donald Trump got back in power and he had new ideas. Donald Trump started his own organization, confusedly named Freedom 250. And Freedom 250 was housed by Trump under the National Parks Department. So then he said, hey, everybody, donate to Freedom 250 at the National Parks Department. And people went like, oh, the National Parks Department, they just protect the parks. This is hosted there, so this is probably fine, right? It was not fine. Whereas America 250 was non-partisan and non-profit, Freedom 250, super maga, and totally for the profit of Trump and his cronies. And after they did that, they also hit up corporate sponsors who wanted to sponsor America's birthday and said, don't go sponsor America 250. You mean to sponsor Freedom 250. And so major corporate sponsors have sent money to Freedom 250 instead of America 250 because they're trying to cozy up to Trump. And then Trump took the budget that was allocated for America 250 and slashed it and then gave it to his own, you guessed it, Freedom 250. This is what you call fraud and it includes boring sounding crimes, but crimes that really are serious like wire fraud because you're telling people to send you money for an act over electronic wires for illegal things and things you know are wrong. Yeah, so this is serious. But the question is, do the Democrats do anything? If you really want to celebrate America, Democrats arrest the president. That's the birthday present I want. Anyway, let's check in and see how Freedom 250 is doing."
