"Ukraine's commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Surski, reported on Friday that Russian advances, the pace of those advances across Ukrainian territory, has more than halved since the start of the year and that Russia was sustaining more than 30,000 battlefield casualties killed or wounded on the battlefield every month. That at the start of the year Russia was advancing on 13 different fronts. That is now down to seven fronts. So a word of caution on those numbers, though, Russia is still advancing. The former commander-in-chief, Zaluzhny, who's now the ambassador to the United Kingdom, also warned against complacency in the West in thinking that because Russia's well-publicized struggles now were getting seemingly worse, not just on the offensive front but also on the defensive front, it should not mean that Russia was automatically losing this war. Ukraine is still in a very difficult position but on that defensive front in Russia, Ukraine reporting more attacks on the Russian Shadow Fleet with 48 drone attacks against Shadow Fleet vessels around the Crimean Peninsula reported in the last five days. So this campaign, five-day campaign now, really ramping up pressure on those Shadow Fleet vessels still operating in the Black Sea and trying to sell Russian oil. I'm Oz Kataji reporting from Keefe for TVP Welt."
