My book is called “Why Are You Here?” I will complete it soon. I thought I was in Ukraine in 2024 to raise funds for Voices of Children. But there was more to it. I felt compelled to witness a nation fighting for its survival - and winning with dignity. Glory to Ukraine, with all my heart.
"Okay, out on the balcony. Today's been a good rest day. I did some laundry that got rained on, so it's still wet, but I still have a great view. And I had a good massage this morning and then sushi and a gin and tonic and fell asleep at the table practically. So I had an hour's sleep and then went to the swimming pool here and then had a sauna and now I'm going to the bar. But tomorrow is 200 kilometers to the next town and then two more towns after that, towns I've never been to before, and then on to Keeve. So we'll get some more of the countryside, meet some more of the people, and I might learn a few more words. I learned puvo, which is beer, but that's not going to get me very far. And yeah, so I'll upload with this some photos of when I was here two years ago with the Voices of Children Center, which is not far from here. And yeah, I'll explain as we go over the next couple of days to the book that I'm 233 writing is called Why Are You Here? And two years ago, I thought I was here to raise money for a charity. In fact, I've learned that I was here to see a country at war and see a country fighting for its existence. And it's something to watch what they do and how they do it. And I imagine when I go through like places like this, what this place could have been like if they didn't have foreign actors of war. I mean, they used to have tourism from Belarus and everywhere. It was a thriving country and it still is. It's just going to be different, but maybe better. So, yeah, so this time why I'm here, I'm here for a bit of completion, but unfinished business. I am back for the victory and could be any time. Things are going very well in the East. And yeah, cheers."
