"So let's get straight to meteorologist Jill Jilardi in for Scott Haney this week tracking just how long this rain is going to last. Jill, it's needed rain, but all coming at once. Exactly. So, you know, it's like too good, maybe? Right. If we certainly need it and the rain we had, you know, less than 24 hours ago, that means the ground's already wet. Yes. So things are going to be potentially getting to that point where it may be too much and flooding develops. So that's what we have to be on guard for. Prepare to, you know, pay attention to any notification we get on our phone just in case it's related to the weather and there could be a warning or an advisory for your area. So heavy rain at times today, some embedded storms that will only enhance the rainfall rate. The amount's one to three inches widespread, but locally four to six, not impossible. So, yes, the biggest concern is going to be localized flooding. The roads are wet out there. Of course, Caitlin will talk much more about those kind of conditions. But, yeah, visibility not great. We get some ponding out there. I haven't seen any flooding developing yet, but this has just been getting started. First live radar. We are entirely covered up. Now, you see there are some pockets of heavier rainfall where you see those brighter colors of orange, even some red. So we get the quiet corner, southern portions of Windom County. We also have this area stretching from New Haven and then back up through Fairfield. So this is all drifting inland. So the rainfall rates are going to be varying as we go through the morning hours and visibility. Not perfect, that's for sure, but it could be a lot worse, especially if you get into some of that heavier rain. So it's been wet out there. It's in the 60s to kick off the day. It's a little bit on the muggy side, but not oppressive out there. And the day does feature, yep, wet weather is in store all day long. Again, heavy at times."
