When to Walk Away From a VO Client
"Sometimes the most important thing to do is to walk away. And when I say that, I'm not talking about your career, because if you were to go back and if we were to do an analysis of everybody who started voiceover and everybody who's quit voiceover, not including people who like had a career and retired, but just decided, you know, I can't do this or this is not for me, you're going to find that it rarely has anything to do with their capability to develop and do what they need to do. It has to do with things like maybe they didn't get the proper training, so they weren't as competitive as they needed to be for their auditions. Maybe their demos weren't good. Maybe their website wasn't good. Maybe they didn't understand marketing. So I don't misunderstand. I'm not talking about walking away from voiceover, but there are times to walk away from clients. And that's what I wanted to take just a couple of minutes to touch base on. I'd love to have you join me live each Monday through Friday for the daily VO huddle. It's as simple as joining my free voiceover community. At school.com slash VO flow that's school. S K O O L dot com slash VO flow."
