"It's not easy in politics to talk about your own vulnerabilities. Oftentimes, we're incentivized to talk about ourselves as impervious leaders that can carry the weight of this country upon our shoulders to show no weakness. But I think that's wrong. We are too divided as a country on so many different issues. And when people tell me, well, how do we pull through this? I tell them about you. You all are showing the roadmap for how we move forward in this country because Alzheimer's doesn't care if you're Democrat or Republican. All we are trying to do is make sure that we deliver for our loved ones. What more central of a message can we have that could unite this country than being there and fighting for our loved ones?"
