Working from home does not put you outside workers' comp in Colorado. If your job is what got you hurt, your injury can still be covered, even at a home desk. Gordon Heuser explains:
"Potentially you do have a workers compensation claim when you're at home. We've handled a couple of claims. The one that really comes to mind is it was a woman who worked from home. She was walking out of her home office and she tripped on the computer cable in her home office and she hurt herself. Quite seriously ended up having a back surgery and that was considered to be on the job. You have to see if there's some sort of a connection between the work and the injury."
