"Do you remember when I told you about the trafficking case in Bibb County, you know, the one involving an underground bunker? At that time, a lot of people thought that this didn't happen here. Even my own mother thought it didn't happen here, but it did. It happened in rural Alabama and it involved isolation and it operated right under people's noses. Now, I want you to hold on to that because over the weekend, I listened to all of Sasha Riley's interviews, every one of them, and as hard as they were to hear, something stood out to me almost immediately. Not just what he alleged happened, but where he says it happened. He talks about farms, ranches, remote places away from the public, away from scrutiny. And that's when the parallels became impossible to ignore. Let me be very clear before anyone jumps to conclusions. I am not saying the Bibb County case and Sasha Riley's allegations are connected. I'm not saying the same people were involved. What I'm talking about is patterns because the Bibb County case showed us something uncomfortable. Trafficking doesn't always look like people expect it to. It's not overseas. It's not always urban and it's not always obvious. That case involves controlled environments, restricted access, and isolation. Conditions law enforcement has repeatedly identified as common in trafficking operations. And in his interviews, Sasha alleges very similar conditions, rural locations, limited visibility, places where children could be hidden from the outside world. Cases like the Bibb County case prove that environments like this are real. They exist and they've been exposed and they're being prosecuted. So when someone describes similar conditions, the response shouldn't be dismissal. It should be careful examination. Recognizing patterns is not the same as making accusations. This is how trafficking is identified. It's how investigations begin and it's how people are finally held accountable. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and make sure you're following to stay up to date."
