Well, that's what's happening right now across the country with AI data centers. It's even happening right here in New Jersey. There's an AI data center being built that the residents didn't ask for. They didn't find out about this project that will raise utility costs, strain their infrastructure, and damage their environment until they saw information on social media after it was too late. That's why I introduced the AI Data Center Site Selection Transparency Act, a bill that will ensure communities are informed of any plans to build data centers in their neighborhoods so they have a chance to be a part of these conversations.
