"Mommy, thank you for showing me what real strength looks like Everything I've accomplished starts with you Today's in about football. It's about my mom and like most parents my mom shielded me and my brother is from a young age I'm what she was going through because she didn't want us to worry about her and it was until later to a multiple sclerosis Progressed that she ended up talking to us and sharing her struggles and tribulations However from that day forward I never saw somebody as my mom is someone who was struggling with MS a person She was the same mom the same one that encouraged us every day the same person who always had family first and the same one They always put a smile on her face. No matter how hard the day was and when I accepted the Heisman Trophy I said and stated that my mom showed me what real toughness looks like that. It's quiet It's not loud and it's choosing hope and at that moment. I might have been talking about football, but I was really talking about life Football is giving me great opportunities And I believe that God has put me on this earth and given me these blessings in order to try to shine a better light on the world so I'm back for my family and then it does a family fund and partner with the National Mass Society and especially my mom We are honored to present this blessing and gift to the universe to the University of Miami's multiple sclerosis Center of Excellence Thank you for you guys.
