"reaction is this is a complete and total failure on the part of Ken Martin. He had a choice. Ken Martin chose to release what I've been told is a draft document with critiques to a draft document and part of the issue there is he released it to protect his own hide. That's the part I find most insulting. He could have released a forward-looking document that really dug into the biggest, the three-alarm fire as I call it, that the Democratic Party is facing. It's facing a failing infrastructure, an identity crisis, and bleeding support among its base voters. He could have put some recommendations forward. Rather, what he did was he put out a document to throw the writers of the report under the bus. He made this about himself when democracy is under attack right now. And so if you ask me, he owes people like me an explanation. The people like me who've been the backbone of this political party for generations now, 600,000 black women are out of a job. We're at 8.5% unemployment. 400 years of black political progress has been undermined in the past two weeks with the gutting of the VRA. Ken Martin owes black people an explanation as to why he's been sitting on this document and what happened to all the money. That is the biggest takeaway. There is no unpacking of how the money was spent."
