"This is Barbara Kell ten years ago active and healthy and this is her today She spends up to 22 hours a day in her bed in South Shields. She has ME a condition which has transformed her life You have an awful lot of pain All over your body, you know head spine limbs on a very bad day Cleaning my teeth as it's been all I've managed to do Today Barbara has a big event for the first time in weeks She's taking a journey with her daughter Nicola's help. She's able to climb a flight of stairs in her home You just feel so very sorry for her because the minimum amount of effort she puts out she pays for for days This illness is as serious as AIDS, cancer Multiple sclerosis you feel as ill as those people do but Neglected a lot by friends and family because they don't realize how sick you really are"
