"I want them to play, and then they find their families. After learning about families being held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, Eden asked her mom how they could help. That question led to a community lemonade stand that raised more than $1,500 in a single day, with the total now over $2,000. The money will go to the nonprofit Each Step Home, which helps families purchase items like clean water, medicine, hygiene products, and phone cards while they're in detention. But for Eden, she says her biggest hope goes beyond the donations. I want them to be free. I want them to go back to school. I want them to play, and then they find their families. It's a simple message from a six-year-old, but one that's already inspired thousands of dollars in support for other children. Eden's fundraiser is still accepting donations online, with a goal of $4,000 of being raised."
