"important this is uh... this is a conversation that that again frankly i don't want i wish we weren't having i i don't think it's a great use of any order of government time i think there's far more important issues that we should be dealing with the things like affordability things like safety those are what i want to spend uh... the majority of my time on because that's what i hear from antonians that's what i hear even even when i served on the board of albany's tallies and i was a counselor that that that's what the focus point nevertheless this conversation has been brought forward now we're going to have a vote on this and so i think it's important for us to be vocal about it i think it's important for us to ensure that antonians across the city aren't being complacent because uh... you know we've seen the polls over and over again the vast majority of antonians do not want to separate from canada my concern is is that they're going to stay home uh... on this referendum for a possible another referendum because they just don't think it's going to happen because the poll show that you don't remember the vast majority don't want to do it we need to remind people now you have to be active and engaged and so by passing a motion this just continues to make sure we put this at the forefront of the minds of antonians"

In the last provincial election 60% of eligible voters, voted. In some polls support for separation is at 30%. Every separatist is going to vote in the referendum. Like Knack said, patriotic Canadians may not show up thinking that separation will never happen.
