"Could be the potential of some stormy weather today severe weather for Friday and Saturday and the potential of some Maybe heavier rainfall coming on through the atmosphere right now tons of moisture from the Atlantic and the Gulf Sitting over the southeast United States moving into that is an area of low pressure and a trailing front That is going to be plowing into all that moisture and doing a good job of creating even more showers and thunderstorms now Here's where the problem comes in There's enough moisture out there to really cause problems and some of that problem is going to be heavy rain on the ground Draining away which could be flash flooding so a flash flood watch in effect for southeast Tennessee and for Western, North Carolina More counties could be added to that into the rest of the day today as we pick up more heavy rain and again the Potential for severe weather mild this morning with patchy fog and otherwise clear skies Chip has your forecast on the morning show and stay tuned for more details coming up throughout the rest of the day on news 12 on air and online"
