"Evil Dead Burn is undeniably brutal, technically competent in its gore, and features a handful of genuinely intense sequences, like the claustrophobic car attack and the relentless dinner scene. But by stripping away the dark kinetic joy of the franchise, burdening the narrative with clinical trauma metaphors, and bogging it down with a desperate corporate mandate to build an Evil Dead universe, it loses its identity. It trades a groovy chainsaw ride for a dull, grey, and ultimately miserable slog. So I'm giving Evil Dead Burn a 2.5 out of 5.
