"Okay we really need to talk about what just happened in the Egypt Argentina game. First things first, Egypt won. Second, we have to remember that all of this is happening with a backdrop of world events, politics, war, conflict, genocide. As much as we want to act like sports happens in a vacuum and it's immune to all the politics and humanitarian crises and that all the teams are on the same playing field and everything's equal, that's not reality. Let's take a moment even to just acknowledge what happened to the Persian team right now as an example of how unfair this world is. It just blows my mind in the fact that these countries who are given these disadvantages keep showing up with such strength. It's testament how strong these countries are in the face of the world trying to turn them down. And if you think I sound crazy, go watch the game for yourself and see how unbelievably unfair that game was. It was laughable. It's insane and you cannot help but think about how this is such a reflection on the state of the world right now and how we're told to not believe our eyes and ears on the football field and in the Middle East. Let's just have a look at what's happening in Palestine and they're just literally telling us not to believe our eyes and ears and we have to also remember that the last win that Egypt had, the coach dedicated to Palestine and that was incredible. Egypt was playing for Palestine and whether or not that had an effect on how they were treated in this round, I'll leave that up to you. Spoken to people from all over the world about this including Argentinians who would die a heart, Argentina fans who have agreed that this was absolutely ridiculous. And if there's a positive we can take from this, it's that Egypt was able to showcase on a world stage how incredible they are and how they had more drive, talent, work ethic than Argentina in this game and they still lost and that sends a powerful message about the world right now and how all of this is happening with a backdrop of so much inequality and a genocide. So moral of the story, free Palestine and Egypt won."
