Cam Robinson and Chris Peters discuss whether or not it’s believable that Viggo Björk will play in the NHL this season. Good timing since he apparently put on quite the show at dev camp

🎤 Whisper Transcript (en) ⏱ 156s

"So Viggo Bjork, who went number nine to Winnipeg, nine, eight, nine, eight, eight, sorry, eight to Winnipeg, Viggo Bjork, eight to Winnipeg. Viggo Bjork is going to play NHL games this season. I'm going to say beyond belief because I want to argue that side. It's obviously it's believable that it could happen, but I think he goes back and plays in your garden next year. I think, you know, we saw Eklund and Frendel do it last season. I think that he told me earlier in the year that he was going back for sure. Now, obviously a lot can change over the course of a season. And once you get drafted by the team and they have an opinion on it, obviously. But I think, I think, you know, even though his running mates, his buddies are gone, you know, that Eklund and Frendel have moved over to North America, I still think it would be a good spot for him. I think it would be a good spot for him to play. Does he want to come over and play in the American League for the Moose or whatever? Like, sure. I could see different scenarios happening up and down the NHL, NHL, but like goal play, first line minutes at home, in sock home, you know, he just finished high school. Like I'd be totally fine. I like when they go back for one more year, really pop, even if the team's not great again, like your garden only got promoted just last year again, back to the top tier, but like go back there, have another season, then come over, be ready. Right. I think it's like, be ready and skip the American League all together if you can. Yeah, it's going to be interesting. I, so I think it's somewhat believable and I think a lot of it stems from the fact is what we saw, what we, the way that the Jets are talking about him for one, that's one element of it. Two, it's also when you see what Ben Kindle did last year and you say, can we get Vigo in a situation like that? And I don't know that you can if you're the Jets right now, but you do have the pieces. But like what I would say is if this is going to be as disruptive a summer as it potentially can be for the future of the Jets, it would not like, let's say Hellebuyck's gone. Let's say there's other trades that are made. Then I would say a hundred percent go back to Jurgarten. There's, there's very little benefit. Let him be a first line center at the SHL level, all those things. If they're able to kind of say, Hey, we're going to try to keep this together for as long as we can. See if we can get another run here. See if we can add a few pieces here and there. And we think that you'll help us get to, you know, an acceptable level this year. That's where I can see it being believable, whether or not it's the right call is kind of irrelevant to me for this argument. Cause I think I lean more, always lean more towards the patient approach and especially when it's a good situation that you're going back to. So, but I'll say it's believable, but let's go."
