"We're on strike right now because our company will not use us for our knowledge and our skills. They just want to do whatever they want to do and it's not safe. And we want safety for us, our co-workers, our families, and everybody in the community. I'm Shane Smith. I'm with the IAM Machinists Union out here. I've been working here for 20 years. We're not out here striking for money. We're striking for our benefits, things that have been earned for 30 plus years out here. Things that people have had. They want to take away sick days from people that have been here all their lives working for this company. So whatever you can do, reach out, support us, just come by and say hi. Thank you."
