2026-07-10: Malta Air/Ryanair Boeing 737-800 (9H-QEU, *2008, #FR1879 LGTS-EDJA) safely returned to Thessaloniki Intl AP(LGTS), Greece after engine #2 failed during ascent at 16000 ft. Engine shrapnel penetrated a passenger window, causing severe injuries to a passenger due to sudden decompression.
