He's partnering with a non-profit organization that calls themselves a group of concerned citizens trying to keep politics out of medicine. But if political power hadn't been used to deny healthcare based on race, there would be no need for a black doctor directory in the first place. We already know how the US Public Health Service gave 600 black men syphilis and let some of them die for a secret experiment. The father of modern gynecology developed his methods by hacking at the bodies of black women in slavery with no anesthesia for their surgeries. Recent studies have found that a significant amount of medical students still believe that black people feel less pain and have thicker skin. Plus, black women are three times more likely to die from complications during pregnancy. Anybody attacking resources like the black doctor directory is not thinking about equality. It's about forcing people to endure bigotry."
