"Can psilocybin help an aging brain? We'll be doing the first psychedelic neuroimaging study focused on older adults, because older adults have been dramatically underrepresented in psychedelics research to date. Strength of this study is that we're combining techniques at a variety of different levels, including structural brain imaging, functional brain imaging, and measures of cognition and perception and emotional regulation. And we're relating all of those to each other and to people's subjective reports of the character of their psychedelic experience. We're hoping to learn whether we can detect changes in the brain as well as psychological outcomes that are associated with successful aging. Please click the link in our bio to learn more."
