"Our immediate asks are simple, request the FFM to conduct an inquiry and ensure that it has adequate resources to report. Beyond these, we urge bolder steps. One, clearly condemn external actors fueling atrocities in Sudan, including the UAE, without giving a free pass to SAF and our backers. Two, encourage the FFM to work with other accountability mechanisms. Three, recommend that the General Assembly submit all FFM reports to the Security Council. The criminal and political costs for those who contribute to Sudan's nightmare should be maximum. If it's not, we'll be condemned to doing more of the same, holding more urgent debates, convening more special sessions, responding to one atrocity crisis after another without attempting to break the cycle of impunity."
