AI didn't replace software engineering skill. It leaned on mine. If I'd just let Claude or Copilot run with what they suggested, none of it would've worked. We made progress because I could stop them when they went down the wrong path. Watch here: https://youtu.be/db62ywZTaDE

"One of the reasons I wanted to make this video is not just to say like, hey, it's pretty cool, like, you know, just how advanced this stuff is getting and how powerful it is. I wanted to talk about the benefits of like still knowing how to write code and like software engineering in general and building things because I think that this keeps getting buried. Everyone's freaking out that like if you're a programmer, you don't need to exist anymore. All this kind of stuff. If I would have just relied on Claude or Copilot just to do what they were saying, this wouldn't have worked. It never would have worked. And the reason that we were able to make progress, we as in me and Claude and then me and Copilot, we were able to make progress on this stuff because when it was going down certain paths, I could stop it."
