"Scaling large, distributed database clusters is known for taking hours, if not days. But is that still the case? Instead of the BX cloud, clusters scale in a matter of minutes, not hours, to accommodate ever-changing workload demands. But how does that work? You start the day at a very low throughput, and as your service increases traction, Xcloud can scale to keep up with the rising traffic. All the while, your workload continues to run without noticing any changes. Clients keep connected, and they contact new nodes once they're available. There's zero service interruption there. And as data, in the form of tablets, is migrated to new nodes, clients are notified and seamlessly start to roll requests accordingly. This happens gradually, and the traffic ramps up on the new nodes, while it decreases on the older ones. And unlike other modes offered by other vendors, for all the scaling, Xcloud scales without hurting your availability and your latency. The system just keeps humming in latencies within single-digit millisecond range. Scaling a cluster does not have to be time-consuming, hurt your SLAs, or break the bank. Check cloud.clib.com today."
