"Hey, gamers. Oh my God, we got more bad news in the gaming sphere. So physical this production for the PlayStation consoles is going to be ending starting January 2028. Now, this transition has no impact on games that already released or will be released prior to January 2028. But this is really bad news because well, they say January 2028, I assume that's because it's going to light up with the PlayStation 6 this launch, whether it be in 2028 or at the end of 2027. Now, I think what this change is, is just the fact that they're not going to be producing any more physical boxes, but I could be wrong and they could still be producing physical boxes, just not a disc anymore. It'll be like a coated a box type thing, which is annoying. But at least there'll be some sort of retail presence. But I think this news means that there's going to be no retail presence at all, which is actually very concerning because of the fact that we won't be getting games potentially cheaper, you know, which would mean that PlayStation and Sony, they have a stranglehold on us and they could charge whatever they want for games going forward, because there's no one stopping them. Of course, I could be wrong on that slightly. Again, it could be a coated a box. And that would mean that there's still at least some sort of retail presence. But I don't know for sure. This is just what PlayStation said. And that's not all, as they also said that starting this year for select markets, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Rita stores are going to be closing down for good. It will go to globally, like in the US, for example, starting next year in July of twenty twenty seven. But remember, they tried to close the PlayStation Rita store and PlayStation 3 store like two years ago or something like that. And we sent a message to them that we didn't want that to happen. So they received a backlash and they postponed it. But this seems like it's going to be going on no matter what. Although I feel like there's a chance we could rally up together and try to stop this again, along with the disk thing. But I kind of doubt PlayStation will listen this time. But yeah, this is just very bad news because they announced this the same day that they're going to be stopped producing disk. You know, just like a huge slap in the face. And this means that it's going to be for a Xenoblade fan like me. It's going to be no more official place for you to buy Zetal Gears legally, which is like, oh, my God, please Square Enix. Please put that out on modern consoles. But that's a whole separate catch it. Yeah, this sucks all around. You know, the stores closing and of course, the disk, probably most of all, not be produced, which really makes me worried about next generation for both PlayStation and also Xbox.
