Let's look at one, Representative Maria Elvira Salazar. Someone who stood by as Donald Trump, used military force to install a dictatorship and steal the oil from Venezuela. Someone who stood by when they were sending her constituents and people to a torture prison in El Salvador. Someone who stood by as Stephen Miller and Trump engaged in racial slurs against the very people she now claims to care about. Her actual words are infuriating. She says, Congress included earthquakes as a grounds for TPS because it makes it impossible with an earthquake to go home safely. Trump has canceled the temporary protected status for all kinds of people, not white people, but all kinds of other people, such as Haitians and Venezuelans, for whom it has never been safe to go home. And she didn't say anything then, but now she wants to talk. But here's the kicker. The administration should do the right thing and redesignate TPS for Venezuelans. The right thing? When has the administration ever done the right thing? You're just trying to appeal to the better angels of Donald Trump's nature?
