"brilliant news that the Commission has finally confirmed that it's going to deliver legislation to ban cages for laying hens and sows. This is going to vastly improve the lives of around 160 million animals in the EU every year, but these aren't the only animals confined in cages. There are millions of other rabbits, calves and poultry confined in the EU in cages every year and in 2021 the Commission promised to deliver on the ECI for all species and that's what we want to see them deliver on now."
