That's right, there are 27 tacos here representing the $27 billion that Greg Abbott is hoarding in the rainy day fund. That is three times more than what is needed. The rainy day fund is also known as the economic stabilization fund, and it is the state's bank account that we use to smooth out the rough times in the economy. But times are rough right now. For decades, Texas kept $10 billion in the rainy day fund, and actually, before Greg Abbott was governor, only $6 billion. No Texas politician has ever hoarded money like this, and it is time that Texans get our money back. When I am governor, I will issue a proclamation declaring a high cost crisis in Texas an emergency. Calling on the legislature to deliver to my desk a bill delivering $1500 of money in your pocket. Because this is Texas, we are always making more tacos for rainy day. But until working Texans can reach the American dream again, it is time to put that money where it belongs. That is with you."
