No matter how you lower LDL cholesterol, you do better. You have less heart attacks, less strokes, less cardiovascular mortality, less non-fatal MIs, less all-cause mortality, literally everything. Unless he's talking about some weird reverse causality or some weird cohort. There was a Swedish cohort where the authors themselves actually threw out that conclusion. They actually debunked their own study and said, sorry, we made a mistake. The people with the highest LDLs did not live to 90 or 100 or whatever he's saying. You can listen to people who have no idea what they're talking about. They go on and propagate these myths and nonsense in the media. Or you can listen to an actual double board certified cardiologist who wrote the book on lipids and cholesterol."
