He wants to run for POTUS

"Hey Anthony. Yeah. What do you think about Tucker Carlson leaving the Republican Party? It's a scam. He's trying to manipulate his fan base for views just like everything else he does. The only thing that particular snake cares about is money and he's just chasing the latest rage bait that he can use to get those views, which in this case is MAGA's growing anger towards the failure of the war in Iran, as well as the Trump administration's continued support for Israel. He's going to scream about it some more on his show and then go right back to supporting Republicans in November. But hasn't he been pretty consistent about his opposition to US support of Israel? Yes, but unlike the left, and I would argue even a decent chunk of the MAGA base, Carlson's concerns aren't really coming from a place of anti-Zionism, anti-war, or even just reducing foreign spending. He loves to shout about that stuff on his show, but aside from his own love of money, which he gets from the views, Carlson is also a Russian puppet who has two main objectives. First, to help keep the lower and middle classes in this country divided and infighting by sowing hate and distrust amongst the right. And second, to help break up the US's geopolitical power by encouraging isolationist policies that are the bread and butter of the fascism that we see rising in the US. He's been doing both of those things for decades, first on Fox News and then on his own show. And not to mention on top of all of that, Carlson is also a huge anti-Semite, not just an anti-Zionist, and he has invited known anti-Semites and Holocaust deniers on his show multiple times. So this latest announcement isn't really a change in his views, just a change in his angle. So essentially, it's all another grift. Pretty much, although it's not necessarily a bad thing that he's leaving, regardless of his actual motivations. For one, it shows just how much MAGA's opinion of the Trump administration has declined that Carlson feels comfortable making an announcement like this in the first place. And he's also basically told his followers that he's not going to vote for Republicans in November, which is implicitly encouraging them to do the same thing. And while I don't think midterms will save us, I'm also not going to complain if more Republicans stay home because of Carlson. But the man is ultimately an enemy of democracy and one of the key people responsible for at least two generations of American losing their parents and grandparents to MAGA hate. So we should not trust him or anything he says in the slightest."
