"Unbelievers easily assume that people who live in the enlightened, scientific 20th century just couldn't accept superstitious myths and fairy tales from the Bible. Don't you use a computer? Don't you use a refrigerator? You know better. Having these scientific wonders tend to believe in miracles. Unbelievers feel they know that such events cannot take place because they've got a scientific outlook. They're convinced that nature operates in a predictable, law-like fashion. That's an unbelievable thing. Miracles would run counter to the regularities of our ordinary experience. Our experience wouldn't be completely predictable, they profess, if there were miracles. That there is a God who could perform miracles. Obviously if God exists, the possibility of miracles cannot be dismissed in advance. An all-powerful creator, a governor of the world, could certainly do things that are out of the ordinary, contrary to the regularities of human experience. If God exists, Jesus could certainly have been raised from the dead."
