"And this, of course, started last summer, a year ago, when Zoran Mamdani was gaining traction in the Democratic race for governor of New York City. And he won that primary after having not been endorsed by virtually any establishment Democrats in D.C. or at the state level. He won anyway. But what did he campaign on? You know, so it's like this issue of socialism. What is socialism? What does socialism even mean in the United States of America? Zoran Mamdani campaigned on issues of affordability, housing costs, rent control, free buses, daycare, taxing the rich. So it's like when you look at polling for the term socialism in the United States, that term polls very, very badly. When you poll the individual policies that are put forth by some of these candidates, those policies poll in an extremely popular manner. And I think Zoran Mamdani's campaign and victory in the primary and victory in the general election have proven that to be to be the case. But everybody gets so hung up on this word socialism. And that's an across the board, both parties thing."
