"The thing that I'm genuinely thinking is that I hope this makes them align themselves more to what we believe. Like, you know, have national come more to our environmental sense and have the greens and labour come more to our economic ideas. Like, raise their game to what we want to see. That's the outcome we want. OK, let's talk about this whole left-right thing. This is a question that I get a lot. We get people on the left saying, I can't support you if you're going to work with the right, and the same from the other side. But we think it's really important to hold this centrist position because that's how we bring our big parties together on the big things that matter. All of this flip-flopping between the left and the right, the bickering, the division, that is what's killing New Zealand. And we need a circuit breaker, like opportunity, to bring something new to politics."
