"A team of students from Andrews High School and Ornado Middle School will have their research displayed at the Smithsonian Museum of American History. We'd like to introduce you to them on today's Esté las Estrellas. They are Abel Castañón, Matthew Rodriguez, and Juliana Williams. The trio presented their research on the sanitation and sovereignty, reaction, revolution, and reform in the 1917 El Paso bath riots and were chosen to represent Texas. A separate team from Ornado will also have a special exhibit. Wangying Cao and Angel Tosh presented their website, Asia for Asians, Reforming and Revolutionizing Asia in Reaction to the West. And Ethan Poh presented the Spartacist Uprising. Congratulations to all six students and their leaders, where they are leaving their mark in this National History Day of Nationals competition that took place at the University of Maryland College Park."
