"Does True Evil Exist? The Omen trilogy consists of three films, The Omen 1976, Damien Omen 2 1978 and The Final Conflict 1981. Over these three films we see Damien Thorne grow from a boy into an adult. Should you not know Damien is the son of the devil personified on earth. The clever thing about these movies is that collectively they play more like a thriller than they play like a horror film. There's no menacing the shadows, there are no creaking floorboards etc. The films are dated to an extent but that really does not bother me. Despite jumpscares and inventive gruesome deaths, these films are not particularly frightening whilst watching them. But they do linger on in the mind. Are they still scary? The subject matter of evil from the gods scares me more than the customary monsters whether they be supernatural like vampires or natural like slashers. That friends of mine who are not particularly religious aren't that scared. They are more scared about tangible threats such as knife slashers."
