"Setting up a company in Europe shouldn't feel like an obstacle course. Right now, national bureaucracy is slowing down our innovators with endless waiting times on the heavy upfront coasts, especially for SMEs. We surveyed SMEs across the U and the data is striking. 67% of SME founders find the current setup process frustrating and 40% face up to a month of waiting and for another 32, it takes even longer just to get registered. Responses from the countries that we surveyed revealed massive disparities. Germany, Italy and Spain are the most expensive, often exceeding 2,000 euros with major delays. France and Belgium aren't much better. Only the Netherlands and Portugal seem to offer a fast smooth process for around 500 euros. We asked founders if you could launch a new company online in 48 hours for a maximum of 100 euros. Would you? A massive 72% said a definitive yes. From Romania to Portugal, the demand for change is uniform. This is exactly what the 28th regime EU Inc proposal aims to fix. It introduces a 48-hour digital setup, sub-100 euros fees, zero minimum capital and streamlined insolvency rules. This initiative is vital for European competitiveness. Accountants Europe has just released recommendations to improve it even further. Check the link and visit our website now."
