According to Crump, investigators continue to tell the family that they don't see evidence of any foul play, despite the fact that Crump says there were students who reported an altercation while they were on the boats. Crump described the altercation as Nolan and somebody yelling at one another on the boat. Now according to Crump, Wells' friend took the teen's phone with them when they left Horn Island. Crump said when Wells' family got his phone back, messages had been deleted. I think people need to remember that Nolan Wells was just 18 years old when he died. Just 18 years old. He was about to turn 19 years old. He was a football player. He had his whole life ahead of him. His community, his family members describe him as a happy kid.
