"Funding for Planned Parenthood has officially been restored this weekend after Republicans failed to pass an extension of their block on Medicaid funds for Planned Parenthood. Starting today, Planned Parenthood clinics across the country are able to get reimbursements from Medicaid hundreds of millions of dollars for all non-abortion-related services. I think a lot of people forget when you talk about Planned Parenthood that these clinics provide much more than just abortion-related services. And in the big beautiful bill last year, Republicans cut off all Medicaid reimbursement funding for clinics across the country, a lifeline for many of them. Well, they tried to pass an extension. It was a one-year cutoff and they weren't able to do so. And so as of today, clinics are now able to receive Medicaid reimbursements and continue to operate unimpeded essentially for most of their services. Not all of them, most of their services.
