"what would be better for the country, not just how it makes us feel that we're rid of him, but it could have far reaching consequences that we had not hoped for. He has turned the Republican party into a personality cult. And when the cult leader dies, usually the cult dies too. At the same time, he has driven away educated people who can recognize racism and sexism. He's driven them away and then they're kind of alienated to independence or maybe they become Democrats begrudgingly. And he tried to replace them with what's called the low propensity voter who he kind of swims without really understanding it properly, I guess. And then he goes to the rallies. Yeah, and so they're really demoralized. They're like, they voted for him because he was the cult leader. He was like, he's our guy and we hate Republicans and Democrats. So that's why we voted for him and then once he's gone, they won't have anybody anymore. So the Republicans, I think, will be in trouble. At the same time, a reactionary party is very resilient. It has reactionaries have been with us since the civil war and they came within an inch of restoring the constitution to where it was in 1867. So I don't think any of us should, I think it would be, to answer your question, yeah, it would be good if he died of natural causes today and then we'll see where the chips fall after that. But I trust that these people, these are traitors, Cheri. They're always, they're traitors. We have been living with the spiritual and literal descendants of the Confederates since the, since reconstruction, where then they're never gonna go away. So they will find a way to reorganize and come back, I suppose, even stronger."
