"Whenever there's a lesion like this on the bottom of the foot, there's really only two things it could be, either a corn or a wart. We can tell here that this is a corn because as it's being shaved down, we don't see blood vessels like we would with a wart. So this specifically is called a poro keratosis. Basically, it forms when a sweat gland becomes clogged with keratin and then keratin keeps building up until it's a painful lump. So the only treatment for this is to shave it out. So here, the podiatrist is going very slow, very carefully to make sure to get the whole thing out so that the problem hopefully doesn't come back. This is really satisfying to watch. And then finally, they're going to go in and core out the center, again, so it doesn't come back. Almost there. Nice job."
