"I worry that there's so much great work out there that never ever sees the light of day at a board meeting, at a strategy session, in the minds of leaders outside the fields of say labor economics or IO psychology or HR. We know a lot about human behavior at work. We know a lot about performance management, about motivation, about engagement, about selection, attrition, etc. Decades and decades, 50 years, 100 years of research on that stuff. And yet, I see business leaders, not in HR, doing all these seat of the pants decisions. Return to office is the easy poster child. How many CEOs have publicly said, well, I went to a meeting of CEOs. They're all bringing everybody back to the office. I'm going to insist that we bring everybody back to the office."
